Jay Mixter is a Business Sustainability Strategist on the INDDEX Project, where he works on the development of strategies to lower end-user costs and support requirements, expand partnerships, and increase the adoption of INDDEX solutions. A serial entrepreneur and veteran of multiple technology-leveraged startups, Jay’s consulting work focuses on helping clients successfully commercialize new products and enter new markets by identifying the most advantageous targets, defining product and service requirements, and developing effective go-to-market and business development strategies. As a part-time lecturer, he also teaches courses in innovation, entrepreneurship and business planning at Tufts University and Boston University. With a career that started in Marketing at P&G and PepsiCo, Jay has expertise in taking concepts from the idea stage through evaluation, development, go-to-market planning and launch. During his career, he has been responsible for the development, planning and launch of nearly 100 new products and services. Jay is active as an advisor to a wide range of startups, later-stage companies and non-profits. In addition, he has been serving as a mentor and judge for multiple entrepreneurship programs, including MassChallenge, MassChallengePULSE, the CleanTech Open, Tufts, Northeastern, BU, Babson, and the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program. Jay received an MBA from Dartmouth College and a BA in Economics from Tufts University.
