Dr. John L. (Jack) Fiedler is a health and nutrition economist who has worked with IFPRI since 2009. He has worked in international health for more than 35 years in more than 40 countries. His work includes feasibility assessments, program design, cost and cost- effectiveness analyses, and assessments of a variety of nutrition programs including, fortification programs, community-based growth monitoring and promotion, supplementation programs, integrated child health packages and ex ante studies of biofortified staples. Over the past five years his work has focused on strengthening the use of household consumption and expenditure surveys as a tool for long term nutrition planning and strategy development; and using household survey data to model and assess portfolios of fortification, biofortification and supplementation interventions. He has published roughly 100 articles in refereed journals.
