Zachary Gersten, MPH

Zachary Gersten is the Project Coordinator of the INDDEX Project, the Research Coordinator for Indicators of Affordability of Nutritious Diets in Africa (IANDA), and the Fellowship Coordinator for Innovative Methods and Metrics for Agriculture and Nutrition Actions (IMMANA) at the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy. He received his MPH in Global Health from the Boston University School of Public Health. Mr. Gersten has previously coordinated projects in comparative biology (freshwater and marine forage fish feeding methods), public health (Ebola and pregnancy), language education (Wolof, isiZulu, kiSwahili), language preservation (Hausa Ajami), workforce development in Boston and Dakar, Senegal, and healthcare management (Lean Management and quality improvement) in low-resource settings. Mr. Gersten speaks and writes advanced Wolof through five years of training through the U.S. Department of Education Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowship.
